You are so lucky. It is a wonderful treasure trove!!! I have buttons from 3 grandmothers and sewing notions, crocheted and embroidered doilies, pillow cases, tea towels, table and furniture scarves, an old quilt, etc from my grandmother who was my mentor who quilted all her life. We are so lucky to have some of their tools and beautiful items of work now that they are past. Cherish these things always as I will.

It's so cool to have something passed down from previous generations that was used by people you know. Maybe made by grandfather??? Maybe someone's pride and joy and now has a home where it's loved and used again. I think old stuff has a coziness that something new doesn't. To have all the things inside is just too cool!

You've really got yourself a treasure. I'm envious of you!!! It's so wonderful to have a piece of your past that you can look at every day. Cherish it.

What an incredible treasure! You're blessed to have her sewing box. I have my grandparents armoire - the first piece of new furniture they purchased after getting married.

Now you have a real keeper in that wonderful sewing box!! You are a lucky gal to have fallen heir to that!! Wish I had some of those things that are in it! I have some wooden spools and a couple of old things but not near that many!
