Thanks so much Christine - I graduated HS in Boulder City (WAY BACK IN '52). Then in the late '60 - 70's I lived in LV & was a police woman w/NLVPD several yrs, then a Clark Co. Sheriff's deputy for a few - long before the time all the law enforcement agencies were combined into a consolidated unit (my wild-child days)

Last time I was in the area was for my 50 yr. class reunion in B.C.

    Have a blessed week end

Thanks - I agree about the old ones & I've been fortunate to be able to buy several over the years. I have one in great shape from the late 1890's - a couple from the 30's

I will try to get some pics of them taken.

    Have a blessed week end

Thank you - I think the "quilting love" must have skipped a generation. My mother never quilted & I don't recall ever seeing this GM quilt when I was older - perhaps once she was away from her mom she either didn't have the desire for it.

I didn't pick it up till I was in my 50's when I took a quilting class in the sm. town I lived in. Was hooked right away.

I think in this digital world w/better ways to preserve images, etc. it should be easier to pass the info down. That's why I got my camera out today & trying to catalog all the ones I at least still have.

Thanks again for your nice comments.

What an heirloom. We recently found a 1930's quilt that belongs in my hubby's family. Still trying to get the history of it. Hope you know yours.

Thats wonderful that he has this from his family - perhaps someone (elder aunt, cousin, etc) might recall something about the quilt - {lease post pics of it - we'd all love to see it.

all I know about this one is what was been passed on to me by a late aunt. My mom never mentioned anything about her history.

    Have a great week end

Thanks so much - My camera doesn't really do that good on showing stitches on "white on white", but looks pretty much like the blank white places on the front.

    Have a great week end
