Default Union Jack quilt finish

This is the second Union Jack quilt I have made using Amy Smart’s pattern. I love making this pattern.

I’ll confess to being in love with that fabric line too. It’s called Notting Hill and I just bought more thanks to a Black Friday sale. No plans for it but as it was so much cheaper than my other Notting Hill fabric purchases I decided I needed some for my stash as I have used all but some odd scraps. The pattern is the most fat quarter friendly pattern ever as I discovered with careful cutting I get 1 complete set for all 3 parts of the flag. That makes scrappy really easy out of a set of fat quarters.

The Union Jack quilt and that fabric have been almost an obsession this year as I actually have two more Union Jack quilts in flimsy form waiting to be finished. Lol. So I will have four Union Jack quilts when I am done. The first I made one for myself. My people really, really, liked it. Then a dear friend kept raving about how it’s my best ever so the one in the picture will be her Christmas present. The two flimsy quilts are so my kids each have one as they are both oddly enthusiastic about that quilt too.

Beautiful Quilt and well done!! I am confident the others that you are doing will come out just as well. Thanks for sharing.
