It's true... sometimes the simplest things make the most beautiful. And this is a perfect example of that! I love it... so scrappy & super homey! What pattern is that? It looks like a variation of "Duck Foot" or something like that. As usual, fabulous work, Don!!!

I join the chorus it is a wonderful and the illusion is GREAT!

I too wondered what the block was one name that I found is "Tea Rose" on Quilters Cache

http://www.quilterscache.com/T/TeaRoseBlock.html

As is with most quilt patterns there may be several names for the same block.... Hope this helps with those that wonder what the block name is.
