    Nice! I know what you mean about picking the colors. I am doing a spiral tree skirt with the 10 degree wedge ruler and I agonized over the colors for weeks! Now that I've started sewing, it's not that hard!

    I made one of those but couldn't find the large wedge so I used a smaller one (it was only 19.95). I still used the 8 FQs and cut everything the way the pattern called for except when it called for a piece bigger than my wedge. I ended up with the middle pieces not quite matching correctly so I cut 4 extra strips, 2-1/4" x strata length. I staggered these in the center so that each was 3/4" off from the next and it worked out perfectly. I ended up with a 36" swirl instead of a 42".
