The pattern is called the "Folded Star" I have the directions and I believe I got them off of the internet. It was a free pattern so I don't think there is a copyright on it. Google Folded Star and if you cannot find it, I will be glad to scan my copy and send it to you. Just found the site I copied it from. http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/200...patchwork.html Hope it works for you

Thanks for sharing your work and the link for the folded star. I would like to know how you made the octagon borders for the dresden plate toppers. Is this a pattern or something you designed?

Twinkie,
You absolutely have to share your secret with the rest of us, on how you got all of that lovely work done & for Christmas holiday's to boot!! Everything is gorgeous & I would have welcomed any one of your projects into my home gladly. I can just imagine how the people you gave them too must have reacted with excitement. Way to go. Thank you for sharing them with all of us here on the quilting board!!

You really worked for Christms gifts this year. I made 7 pairs of king size pillow cases plus one queen and
several regular size for kids. Sorry I didnt get a picture before giving them .
