This quilt is called "String of Lights" and the pattern is in the book called "Time Out Quilts" by Atkinson Designs..It's a good quilt for a beginner because all of the points are floating.. I think I'll make another one with different colors...Wasn't hard at all.

Your quilt is beautiful. It doesn't look easy. Please let us see a picture of the 1st Place ribbon you receive :)

I didn't do the quilting. A friend of mine in Wisconsin has a daughter in Kansas who does quilting for a living, so when my friend goes to visit her, she brings the quilts with her and when her daughter gets them finished, she brings them back to Wisconsin..I've been quilting since 1987 but I don't usually enter any of my quilts in the shows. This year I decided to enter both of my quilts and just see if I get anything for them..Everything has to be just perfect or you don't get any ribbon at all. I really don't expect one, but I'll see what the judges have to say about them...After the show I will tell you what they had to say...It's exciting....
