This year they've put out a call for teen boys' quilts. I requested one kit, expecting to make 1 more; they sent two, so I had to make 2 more! The second center is made up of the "extra" HSTs from the corners of the first's blocks.

    the kits they sent

Good for you. I have another 4 quilts ready to be quilted to send to Quilts for Kids. Young childrens' quilts - do you think they will still want them?

Your Quilts 4 kids are great! I notice that you did a Asterisk quilt for your Avatar. It looks cool. I enjoyed doing one also but I wish that the magazine had indicated that the instructions were different from the picture. The quilt pictured must have used 1.5" strips not 1". I love how you alternated the solid and the pattern squares.

Love the brown-and-blue color schemes on the two teen boy quilts. I know my brother would love anything in those colors (his bedroom pretty much is).

YES! We need all ages, always. Six million children are hospitalized in the US every year, so we will always need quilts. We donated over 20,000 in 2010 all across the country, but the need (unfortunately) will never end.

Thank you all for all your wonderful work. We could not do it without you! Any questions...reach me at
