Yes, I have been know as the Ripper! You have a beautiful quilt. Good luck with quilting it yourself, but I know that you can do it. You will see quilting design that the quilt will just be begging for. Take your time and listen to the quilt. Its with in all of us! Did I say your quilt is beautiful, wow! Your a woman after my own heart. Be kind to yourself and the design for quilting will just flow from you. Enjoy the process, I enjoyed your sharing.

Thanks to all who commented on my little 4th of July tabletopper. I ripped out the first quilting and re-quilted on the machine (SITD) with some straight line quilting on the outer blue border. Here it is finished, binding and all! The second photo shows the backing.

I love the fabrics you used in this block. It looks great!!! I love high loft batting but when I was trying out a longarm the other day, the lady explained the problems that high loft exposes when machine quilting. As the person who started the other thread, I can say your block looks great!!!! You did a super job!

Yes, I did rip out the quilting on a king size applique quilt. The longarmer stitched around each of my applique designs on top of the design. She used a clear non-filament thread. It was tedious but I took it all out and had it done by another longamer quilt it and was very happy with her work - I was glad I had ripped out the original quilting. Your quilt is beautiful.
