NY Gal, thank you for your kind words!! Sometimes I used the same colors as in the book, most of the time not. Since each block takes at least 5 or 6 different fabrics, I would start with a focal print and pull the other colors from that. I bought small pieces or fat quarters I liked when I saw them. I keep the fabrics separated by main color in gallon size baggies.

This was a group quilt along here on the Board. Some people used a limited set of fabrics with one background. Mine is totally scrappy.
