    Before the walking foot, it was calledd the quilting guide--I think.

    it's still called the quilting guide. keeps your sewing lines an even distance apart. it is adjustable.

    There should be a hole in your walking foot to slide it into. On mine, it will slide in from either side. Adjust it until it sets on another line you have finished and use it to keep your lines straight.

    You all are geniuses!! I found the little hole on my walking foot and it does go in on both sides. I'm using it right now, to quilt the border.
