my seven year old son and 10 year old daughter made their first quilt tops not too long ago. they Chose the fabrics themselves and ran the machine (i guided it for the 7 year old) these quilts have a lot of character hidden in them. My daughter found a UFO of mine that i started as a baby quilt and she used that as a center medallion.

I am very proud of them and they were very ambitious for first tries. They will be well loved.

Gorgeous!!! I bet they can't wait to see their creations finished and in use. (I'd love to see pics too... :D )

And hat off to you for supporting their creativity and not talking them out of their "ambitious" first projects. I love you for that.

Wonderful mom for taking the time. The girls will remember your love and willingness to take the time with them. Quilts will be a reminder to them of time spent together.:)

What great quilts!
Both are well-designed and will instill the thought of ability to be creative in future endeavors, regardless of whether it's in fabric or not. Lucky little ones to have you as their mom!
