It's tough to get crisp seams with such awesome polyester.

I have heard that those poly quilts are really warm and last forever! Be sure and put the date on it when you do get the backing on. :-) Then a hundred years from now..someone can see how well made it was. :-)

Mine were the hot pink!

Usually quilts like this either had just a plain piece of the polyester double knit or else big squares of fabric that matched up to the background of the design on the front. And they were tied at the corners or the centers of the big squares, not quilted.

Maybe send it to someone in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska??? I think I saw part of my white bellbottoms in there, and maybe the seat out of the back of a pair of hotpants!! LOL
That quilt top makes me sweat just looking at it. :-D

What do you think of Afghanistan? I hear it gets downright frigid at night and it would certainly brighten up a barracks.

Oh my gosh, how funny! Honestly that's a really great quilt though. I don't have a lot of experience with polyester (I was born in '80) so I can't even begin to imagine how heavy that top is but the colors are fantastic.

Please share pics when you finish it and decide where it's new home will be!
