    90 yrs. young signature quilt

This a signature lap quilt my sil (from CO)and I did for her mom's 90th birthday. It was a surprise and it was a wonderful day for her and all that attended. Almost all the spaces were used for well wishes and signatures. Thanks to the board that offered advise about the embroidery. Each of us did our half (using materials used in family wedding and other family quilts)and then when she came in we joined the two pieces and put on the finishing touches. The flying geese were the '1 seam' method demoed by Ricki Tims. Sooooo easy!! The backing was a cuddly fleece. She is already using it. Enjoy. Hope the pic turns out ok.

Beautiful labor of love. Those messages will live on far past the birthday celebration.

What a wonderful surprise birthday quilt. I love the brightness of the fabric choices and sense of celebration I feel when looking at this. You all did a wonderful job in creating this lovely heirloom. Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
