Default Retirement Quilt

The secretary in my office retired at the end of this month. My 86 y/o mother made this top. I put the border on it, quilted it and completed the binding in time for her retirement party on Friday.
She loved it. It gave me lots of practice on feathers.

It's just perfectly poofy and crinkly! It's work derful to practice skills on projects, isn't it. So glad I chose an accent piece for pebbling. I learned it's not my favorite before committing to a big project!

WOW What an awesome gift to get! I don't know that I could give away a quilt my mom at 86 would have made!
