Default Request

Hello, everyone!

I am a newbie and just beginning in the quilting world. I would like to start with a simple small hanging quilt. I've been looking for a simple 5-6 inch pattern for a square. Can any of you help me?

Thanks in advance!

You might want to take a look at the Missouri Star Quilt Company's website. Jenny, the owner has lots of tutorials for a variety of blocks. She is a wonderful and funny teacher. I use her site all of the time. Here is the address:
www.missouristarquiltcompany.com Just copy and paste this into your address bar. I hope it is helpful for you.

All of the quilting magazines, McCalls, American Patchwork and Quilting, and others have free patterns on their web sites, you might check them out, also.

My favorites have been listed but I sometimes type in the name of what I am looking for in my browser and get help there as well ie: "easy quilt patterns for beginners" or " easy quilt wallhanging pattern". YouTube is great for watching how to cut/piece, etc. Good Luck and look forward to seeing what you decide to make!

Thank you all for the wonderful advice and websites! I have a couple of magazine subscriptions and I have been going through all the back issues trying to find patterns that I like. The hard part is just picking one!
