I went to a beautiful large garden yesterday where there was a large display of quilts displayed throughout. It was a gorgeous day, the quilts flapped in the breeze and they were displayed perfectly, some were draped over a large tree branch, some hung from the old stone stable walls, and one was laid on an old wagon. The quilts displayed in this setting were far more enjoyable to view than any quilt show hung inside a building. Sadly I didn't take my camera

Thanks for the quilt show! I always enjoy my morning coffee much more when I can enjoy a quilt show without leaving my house!

Wouldn't this be a fun event for many of our towns to support quilting? Enjoyed visiting all the quilts.

This is such a clever idea. I think this should become a national event sponsored by local guilds or organizations. I sure would participate!.

We often stop in Smithville when we go up to Austin and the Hill country. You really feel like you've stepped back in time there, so many lovely turn of the century homes and buildings. Being from Houston, where historical preservation is NOT a priority, it's good to see a town keep its PAST intact.
Is the airing of the quilts an annual event ? I haven't seen it before -
