Default Another from the scrap pile.....

Im still working on the scraps that have multiplied during the night and I do have to say I'm making quite a dent.. I still have tons to use up but I'm happy with what I've accomplished so far and its only March.. lol..

This one started from a chunk of white TOT fabric.. I cut it 6.5in sq... and stole strips from my strip scraps... I have a tote of just assorted wonky strips..( I dont mix my 'perfect" strips 1-2.5xwof, those have totes of their own.. lol.. ) and decided WONKY LOG CABIN style... and off i went... it was very colorful.. THEN... i had the unpleasing white center.. yuck.. !!!

I found a chunk of the teak fabric and used my go to cut out rag stars and hearts, one layer wasnt enough rag for me so i found other scraps and made them all 3-4 layers of other 'bright' fabrics.. I used the same teal to border it (only fabric i had to use off the bolt).. I Found an equally busy and bright floral fabric- kind felt like the old the 1930s feed sack fabric- to use as backing that was gifted (she was purging her stash- YAY ME !!!!! ).. I binded it with leftover binding from another project.. So all in all its made mostly from scraps and freebie fabrics !!!

My kiddo named it ..." A rainbow from my heart to the stars ...." yea its that colorful.. not sure the photo picks up the actual brightness but its done, i used my scrap stash and I'm ready to tackle another one..

Thanks for looking... And happy Quilting..
