Thanks all for all the great comments! I have sent her a link to the post so hopefully she will read all your wonderful compliments!

I have to say that she is a great young lady who is very artistic and very talented. The LQS ladies and I gave her some pointers on what to choose but the choice of fabrics was all hers. She also had played around making gifts for her two brothers at Christmas on her Mom's old machine, so the actual sewing went very smoothly. The decorative stitching went slowly (who amongst us can not say that!) , but each petal got easier for her.

All I did was give directions - it was all her project. :-)

Allie: I have a granddaughter who is five, and I am going to show her your picture. I want her to know, that this is the kind of project she can work up to. Your an inspiration to others already. Great quilt, and you are a very talented young lady! :D
