Default Alphabet quilt guild challenge

Our quilt guild, Christian County Quilt Guild in Taylorville, IL is hosting a quilt show in June this year. Members were given the opportunity to do an optional quilt challenge. Since I have never had any quilts to show (as they all have homes other than mine), I decided to participate. The challenge was to create an 18" quilt square, using at least one batik, and depicting one letter of the alphabet (which was chosen at random). Of course, I got "Z", ugh. I am usually fairly cautious and traditional, so thought this was a good opportunity to think outside the box and have fun with it. What do you think? It WAS fun and being small, didn't take me but a couple days to work out.

LOVE your interpretation of "Z"! Very cute. The balloon is a great touch!

Wow you did a great job "thinking outside the box". It is very creative and well done.
