Beautiful!! I definitely would go with black binding. You don't want any other color (red or green) to take away from the center!!!

Beautiful, I want to say red binding, because red is my favorite color.

I'll be different and suggest a small stripe, maybe on the bias. Maybe find something with a bit of gold in it, with either red/black or white.
