Thread: Amazing Aunty's quilt~Just finished quilting for her.

    My customer's 85 yr old aunt loved to quilt, so I have gotten several of her tops that I have quilted. This one was drawn and painted, she used crayons, very interesting.
    I'm posting close ups so you can see her talent.
    Carol's Aunt passed away, so this is pretty special for her.

    Unique, creative idea for a quilt. I hadn't thought of using crayons. I hope she preserves it well.

    It is a beautiful quilt BUT please let your friend know that she can NEVER wash it as the crayons will wash off and spoil what her Aunt Carol did for her.

    I love the quilting!

    I have a neighbour who's mom did a quilt with crayon coloured blocks. she was a child (my neighbour) when the quilt was made, and the pictures are still fantastic - even after washing. She hangs it to dry, so I see it out to dry every so often. My neighbour's son uses it now.
