Default American Wave wall quilt

From a Connecting Threads kit, made for my middle daughter who was born on flag day (June 14).

I'd love to have one just like this for our front door and there's enough fabric left to make another one, but I'll have to psych myself up to do it. Piecing both a convex and a concave curve within the space of 3 inches, 72 times, was not fun.

Well, the effort was beautiful Amazing that you have enough fabric to do 2 flags. Your piecing is great. Any tips?

That is beautiful! You did a great job in spite of all the curves!

Thank you all! Debby, if you use the pattern's cutting layout there wouldn't be enough for two. But I went a different route, just to save myself some cutting (hand trouble). Having fabric left over was just a bonus. Compare:

As for piecing tips, I found I needed more than two clips on the concave curve, and it was easier for me to join the pieces in two steps, stitching from each edge to the center.
