[i]This is my first time posting on this board. This is a quilt that was made for a friend's son. He did most of the stitching by himself. The first one he has ever done. Now he wants to design his own pattern..........but he will need help from me!! Barb

Let me try this again. I don't understand why it didn't work.

Wow! Great job for a first time quilt!!!!! I love the bright colors and the way the polka dots lead your eye up and down the quilt. I think your friend's son is going to do well at designing patterns and is lucky he has you to mentor him!

That is awesome! It really is eye-catching. Does it have a name? How old is your friends' son? He is talented if he did the stitching himself. Does that mean he did the quilting or just the piecing?

His quilt has so much energy. It is great!

My friend (a 48 yr old male) stitched this for his son (which is 8). The older is wanting to design his own quilt with my assistance. I am sorry that I didn't clarify that clearly.

I did the quilting on it. I purchased me the hobbyquilter (which is now called the Funquilter). I hated to wait when I sent one away to have it done. So I purchased the frame and the machine to do it myself. I just love it!!
