I want to shadow and float these as I`ve seen here in some tshirt quilts.
Would I have to use white or off white or can I use another very pale colour to get that effect?
Sure luv the board and all sugesstions are very welcomed!
Thanks Gale
Forgot to ask those who have done this I`m asumming that the one sashing strip that goes on the left equals the shadow and sash strip on the right. right?

I think you are on the right track with a lighter pale color. I think a really pale pink with just a hint of texture would be perfect. Beautiful piece of work, by the way.

A pale pink would be pretty but maybe even a light green?

Also, I think I would do a binding to match the purpke/blue background after the light border. That will make it really pop and glow! I can't wait to see it done! :)
