This is the second beach bag I did. My first was posted here

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-138236-1.htm

and if you look at the first bag, you can see how much my petunia pot has grown since July 17 :)

This bag is a gift for the bride and will hold the Twisted Palms quilt I'm working on (almost done quilting the border!!).

The shell trim is a cotton webbing and was original a natural hue (off white), so I dyed it with turmeric and vinegar baths, with some dashes of paprika. The pattern is "The mesh of it - tote & go" by Lyle Enterprises. I added the pockets on the inside and the trim at the top of each bag.

These were fun! Can't wait to take them to Jamaica in October for the wedding. And the quilt too.

Great beach bags. I am sure they will be treasured gifts. Your flowers in the background are beautiful. Someone does lots of work and definitely has a green thumb. Not me, mine is black.

That would be my husband. He used to own a greenhouse when he still lived in England. Now we own a small manufacturing company that makes equipment for greenhouses so we're still in the "industry".
