I think it looks great! I love that pattern. I've made a couple and have another cut out. I had to put it aside a couple of weeks ago, but think I'll find it and put it next to the machine to remind me to do it this weekend.

I love it and do plan to make another one..how much did you enlarge yours? I always like to make matching eyeglass cases and cosmetic bag, etc to go with my purses when possible..but the lining looks good in the bag too

I enlarged it by 115%
next one will be in a totally different fabric... I have an old leather coat that I pulled apart ... and I'm going to try give it a firmer body as well... not used to anything this light :)

I'd love to see your leather one - and hear how it was to sew. I have the same, and would love to turn it into a purse. We also have a local leather shop where we can buy remnants for next to nothing...but I've often felt too afraid to try it on my sewing machine.

Please let us know when this new one is complete. And I love that the lining matches. Makes it interesting :) I sure need to make myself one of these!

I know what you mean about it being light. On my first one, I used washable suede from Joann's. It was a rolled upholstery fabric. It's a bit thicker and was great to work with. I really like it and get a lot of compliments. Here's a link to the picture.

Actually it was your bag that gave me the shove to try making one ;)
