Another market tote

Went to the old $3 a Yard Fabric Store in Lancaster, CA and picked up this remnant. It is upholstry/curtain fabric and made a great tote.
They are starting to carry cotton quilting fabric for $2.50/ yard. So picked up about 13 yards of that also.

Ohh, what a pretty tote!! Wish I had a $3 fabric store near me!! We have JoAnn's, Hancock's and some Walmarts that still have fabric. Although we do have Addadi, who sells beautiful cotton fabrics for $4.99/yard, but if you buy 2 yards, you get one yard free!!! He also has a lot of $1.99 and $2.99 fabrics. Yea for him!!!!!

I really like your tote and the heavier fabric. Looks great. I just made my first one this week. It's a reversible one made out of quilting fabric. I decided after making it, the next one should be heavier material. Drapery fabric is a great idea.
