`This is my first attempt at paper piecing and I was totally 'discombobulated'. Not to anxious to do it again. My hats off to any of you who can master this technique.

All four blocks so far. There are two more. They measure 14" sq.

when I tried it, I was really surprised at how much fabric it seemed to take

Keep at it Jan - your doing a lovely job. I can honestly say your blocks look perfect to me considering it's your first attempt.
Don't forget to post again once you've added the next 2 blocks.

Believe me once you get into some sort of momentum your wonder why you ever found this technique daunting at first. I love doing PP

Thanks Riley and bearisgray. I agree that it takes alot of fabric. I was really being careful with the house fabric because I only had a little bit. I wanted the strips so it would look more like a house. In the picture it looks kind of like a barn.

Looks great. I've done very little pp but it allows for those tight corners and sharp points.
