If you have an embroidery machine, it would be lovely to scatter a few around. If not, maybe a friend would do it for you. I love the quilt. Christmas blues are always so soothing.

I actually like the quilt as is...not sure where you would put some large snowflakes.
I might increase the border a bit more.

Try making templates from paper cut snowflakes and either fuse or needle turn them in applique

Thanks everyone for some great ideals. I was looking through this site and just stunning patterns. Whis I did longare quilting.

a fun way to get a pattern would be to make your own paper snowflakes. fold paper into 6ths ( 60 degree angle). cut into the folds. refold so you have new edges to cut shapes . open it up and you have a snowflake!

p.s. i really like your quilt!
