I agree, snowball and 9 patch. The design comes from the placement of fabrics. Very pretty.

it looks like it was set on point. or at least the blocks are going across the quilt in the photo. i agree, nine patches and snow ball blocks (corner triangles match the light background in the nine patch blocks. then some "petals" are appliqued on the quilt.

I believe it is a snowball/9 patch and the reason you don't recognize it is that it appears in the picture to be on point. Cock your head around a little and I think you will see it
