Default Appliqued Mariners Compass.

I have never done foundation piecing and but love the mariners compass design, so I am trying to do one in applique.Just started to satin stitch the raw edges.

I have never seen one made as an appliqué. It is looking good. One question: How on earth do you get those points so 'pointy'? Fantastic.

Oh my goodness, that is spectacularly beautiful. Your applique alternative is every bit as beautiful and precise as a peiced one. Kudos to you for coming up with such a breathtaking alternative. And this is coming from a big MC fan, it is my favorite design.
