Beautiful fans!! I would use gold sashing! Can't wait to see it finished!

I think a light green would be perfect.

Always marching to another drummer... LOL
I would piece them as is and do some nice decorative stitching down each side of the seams... in color of choice... for me it would be cream, silver grey, or gold...just a thought! B

well, I bought the fabric pre-cut on ebay so there is no more. I was thinking green or gold because that's already in there and would be simpler to match. I really like the fans, though!

Guess I'm diferent also. I like the black as is. It makes the fans float and will leave a nice area for elaborate quilting when the blocks are joined. A nice tassel hanging from each fan would also be nice. Then I would use the floral for a wide border.

I agree with auditioning many different fabrics. Sometimes you will be surprised as to which makes it just perfect!

May be going against the majority here, but the insets may stand out more without sashing.....

The green or any sashing that you use I would
not have it so overly bright as to take away

Moss green might work.
I Agree

I would make some of the fan blocks and the audition some colors for the sashing. They will look different when they are sewn.
