Audrey's Quilt

I have been struggling with Audrey's (my second DGD who just turned 2) big-girl-bed quilt all summer. To me, the colours were just too busy, but on the other hand, they are just right for my little minx of a granddaughter!
Well, it is finally at the sandwich stage and I took the opportunity to snap a photo. The fabric is from Benartex Baby Geniuses Speak Up line and the design is my own. The only way I could think to calm down the colours, was to add the black sashing. There is also a 1/8 inch reveal black sashing around each picture block. A lot of extra work but the only way I could cut apart the panels and still make them useable (less than 3/8 inch between pictures on the panels).
The first photo is the recipient. I think she'll like it! Thanks for looking.
