Vey cute and sweet! Love the fabrics! Have you washed it yet? I've found that cotton embroidery thread shrinks quite a bit (at least vintage thread does). You might want to hand wash in cool water and hang to dry. I shrank 7 tea towels worth of pretty kitty embroidery last year

This is precious and the 30's repros go with the embroidery perfectly. Your hand embroidery looks so perfectly executed too.
Regarding the shrinkage, if you quilt it heavily enough the embroidery shouldn't wrinkle up to badly, the quilting will help keep it in place.

I love this sweet little girl! I have seen the blocks made up with yellow or red hair too. All little southern girls used to talk this way. I did until I moved to California and the kids made fun of me.

All that being said, what a cute quilt! I really love the fabrics and setting you chose. So darling.
