As long as it served its purpose. My family has worn out the first quilt I made, and when my son caught me giving it to the dog he whined till I tried to patch it back up,so as long as they are loved that is all that matters:)

I am attaching a photo of the quilt and how worn it became the last trip through the wash did it in. But I sewed it back up and they still use it:)

No quilt police. Just happy babies cuddling something that their mommy made.

Trying a lonestar for my first quilt probably would have not have addicted me! It's probably not too late to quilt it so maybe it will wear better!

Thanks for the warning--now I KNOW not to try the Lone Star Quilt till I've got a lot more experience. I'm amazed at your effort! Congratulations on the new baby!

Your first was certainly an ambitious pattern! Thanks for sharing it. Most importantly it did exactly what it was born to do...wrapped your baby in love. Happy quilting.
