I had lots of little scraps of Kaffe Fassett fabric and almost a bolt of the bright yellow Kaffe fab called Kashmir that I used as background and setting triangles.

I wanted low contrast, very bright with with the feeling of fall. But it also needed something POW! So I bought a yard of the new Kaffe Fassett fabric called Parasols and used that for my alternate blocks.

The block is called Uneven 9Patch or Puss in the Corner. I made my own pattern.

I think I will quilt it with Baptist Fans.

Very nice! You've certainly captured the Kaffe feeling.
