I saw fabric for the Hungry Caterpilllar quilt about a year ago at a quilt shop when we were up north at a quilt store in Grayling,MI. I loved the colors but thought I should wait and it would be a project for the next grandbaby whenever that may come. Well that Labor day our son and his wife announced they were expecting in March. So Monday, I called the quilt store to see if the kit was still available but all they had was a new one callled Brown Bear. So the hunt began. Several quilt stores later I found the material I needed.. now the question was how do I want to make it.. I did a search online and found a pattern thinking it was a "baby" size quilt. Well it was a bit bigger, allmost twin size when I was finished. Oh well I loved the bright colors and so did my son and daughter in law and ava Grace does too. I hope I can do this right. :)

It's great! It will make a perfect bedspread when she moves into a toddler bed.

That is beautiful. I am making my DD the brown bear one for when she has a baby. (None in sight yet) and she wants the one you made too. Great job.

Hey, she'll grow and continue to use it for years.

Very pretty and welcome to the board.

p.s. I love your puppy avatar!

Your quilt is adorable! I love that fabric collection too. You'll have to make reading that book with your granddaughter a tradition. My kids loved that book over, and over, and over!
