This is the second one I did, with starch and no iron-on interfacing. Way easier !

I did not use the iron-on interfacing, but rather I starched the t's prior to cutting them...I starched the daylights out of them and they held up pretty well through the stitching. If you need more info, pm me...

oh wow!! I use iron-on interfacing to keep them from stretching - I have never heard of doing them that way - interesting!

You have to try it! They are not near so heavy and you save some time not ironing.... I starch really heavily, but it washes out after quilting is done and makes a nice quilt....and if you mess up anywhere, it is more forgiving if you have to fudge anywhere.
