I paper pieced these as samples for the paper piecing class I am teaching at the quilt shop down the road. They were a big hit!

The square one I call Christmas Morning because the presents are still under the tree and the plaid border reminds me of my Dad's housecoat he wore to go downstairs and turn on the lights on the tree before we could come down and see what we got. Sigh.... snif!

The other runner is fun with the ornaments in the border waiting to decorate the trees. It's a big tradition at our house to decorate the tree together and bring out all the ornaments that have been in the family for years, gifts from people I love or purchased on holidays.

Thanks for looking! Janie
