Default Baby quilt for musician nephew

This quilt has fatcatpattern roosters in the corner and BQ (Maple Island) blocks in it. I will make a rabbit label for the back once baby is born (the year of the rabbit) The Daddy was born in the year of the rooster & the Mommy was born in the year of the rat. I wrote a poem & quilted that into the quilt as well as music notes.

I’m a little Rabbit born in 2011
A beam of sunshine dropped down from Heaven.

My Momma is a base singin’ Rat born
A green Alien in a red Bikini she has worn

My Poppa is a drummin’ Rooster born
He sports a braided beard that’s not been shorn

A special addition to the family tree
My arrival …… That’s me!

Now that's what I call personalizing a quilt. They will love it.

What fun. I used that rooster from Fat cat Designs recently, but put more feathers in his tail. He was bit too cool to mix with the others I chose. I like your poem too. Thanks for sharing
