My new great niece was born on March 17. They had to fly her to Denver the next day to do a total bowel reconstruction. While she was there they found a hole in her heart. Surgery went OK for the bowel and she is on medication for her heart. If the hole does not heal in 3 months, she will have to have surgery for that. But she got home last Friday and I got to give her the quilt!

Here is hoping for a good recovery and no new surgery needed. The quilt is beautiful and I am sure will become a treasure.

I do pray that your great neice gets stronger and that the meds fix her little heart. You have made her a beautiful quilt that I am sure she will love for many years to come.

WHat a beautiful quilt - inspiring - I have to make a baby one too, so I am having a really good look at it. Not sure if boy or girl yet, will bookmark it tho.
Thoughts are with your new little one
