A baby tie quilt made from a panel and borders and a quilt top that will eventually be on one of the spare beds using Roman Square, still needs a plain black border and will be backed with flannel for warmth during an Ontario winter

Yes the panel was about 36X44 then I added the yellow, and the alphabet borders and used a another fabric for the binding and the corner squares on the last border. A quick project from start to completion

I just looked at your baby quilt...it's beautiful and so is the other one! I made a baby quilt for my grandson, using teddy bear/ alphabet blocks and bright primary colors. I made the quilt for his first "big boy" bed when he was 4 yrs old. Recently, he came over to spend a few days with me and he brought it. He is 20 yrs old now and he says it's still his favorite quilt!

I love your story. It is great when you know that something you made many years ago still has such special meaning for someone

Thanks, the panel and the border and binding fabrics are part of a line called "Hungry Animal" which I actually found at a local mennonite shop here in Ontario. I am not sure where you are from but I have seen some of this line at several online shops as well.
Here is a link to one of them:

That is certainly a different variation on the red, white and black theme! Neat! The baby quilt looks snuggly and warm, perfect for a baby!!
