This top took me a total of about two hours, from choosing fabric to, preparing, cutting and piecing. It's for a friend of a friend for a baby shower gift. :D I think it's cute! It took me 5 FQ's, 4 for the middle, one for the border. All I did was iron, layer and cut them all the same, then mix and match! No pattern needed.

This is so clever. Did you have a plan for the block sizes you would cut or just wing it? Nice color arrangement, too.
