Default Baby Quilts-Better Late Than Never

These two quilt tops have been done for some time but I just finally put them on the frame this week. The baby girls they were made for are now several months old. Oh well, luckily they aren't overly "baby"

Those are both really cute--I especially like the first one. Newborns don't need blankets that size Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Very pretty. At least you don't have to give the babies twin bed sized quilts. (I've had to do that before.)

how pretty! I love them both. Was the second one hard to make? I love that pattern, but have always been afraid to try it. I suppose I need to find the pattern and see how it is actually made. It looks complicated to me! BTW, I love that you didn't use "typical" baby colors. Those quilts will be perfect for the little girls for years and years!!

The second is Hunter's Star, using the Rapid Fire Ruler, by Bonnie Hunter. It is not difficult, using this method. I picked the ruler up at a local quilt show (it comes in two sizes). I usually don't buy specialty rulers but I do love this one :-)
