Fabric Angel
A quilting friend has been downsizing her fabric stash and over recent weeks I have bought all of her scrap bags. Well yesterday she arrived at my house with a couple of boxes of fabric and a bundle of quilts that need finishing off, i.e. quilting. OMG there is so much gorgeous fabric - lots of flannelette, backing fabric, kids themed fabric, dolphin fabric (my favourite) - I am so blessed !
My friend knew I have been madly making lap quilts, tote bags, photo covers, chalkboard mats, etc for a charity organisation that supplies 'Christmas shoeboxes' to disadvantaged children and she has kindly donated some of her fabric to me so that I can continue to sew for this organisation. Here is the fabric laid out on a bed and one or two of the quilts to be finished.
I will now organise a sewing bee for this organisation so that other quilters can help sew items with this donated fabric.

How wonderful of your friend. I have heard of the Christmas shoebox project! It is done here in the states too and they deliver to kids all over the world. It is an awesome project and really makes a special holiday for the kids that would otherwise have nothing.
