Baby steps here and question the the experienced..

The pic is the first ebroidery I've made in my new Pfaff 2170. My question to the experienced is:
I want to cut off all the thread that connects one design to the other one (e.g in between the X). Is it safe to remove or the whole thing will come appart?
Not sure if the pic will show but I still have the water soluble topping I used.

I quite often even cut the jump stitches on the back too, especially when the back is exposed like on a towel. That way my fingers don't get caught in them....
I also use tweezers to hold the thread. It helps you get the thread cut close to the pattern and not have any fuzzies....
