Default Balcony Blossoms - a quilt top

This quilt top was inspired by two of the classic 1930's style quilts - Double Wedding Ring, and Grandmother's Flower Garden, yet it does not have any curved piecing or hexagons. It does however, contain set-in-seams, which I forced myself to learn from a book. I used a different 1930's reproduction print for each flower. There is no commercial pattern.
This measures 48" x 48", and brings to mind a child's gift of flowers from her own yard for her mother.

The good thing about this, according to my husband, is that my blocks using set-in-seams, do not look like padded bikini tops! (Many of mine have looked this way in the past!!!)

Very pretty! It reminds me of Storm at Sea ... similar but different. Well done.

Beautiful pattern and great with 1930's. Can you share a tutorial?

You have created a beautiful quilt! I was just trying to look at all of your fabrics and individual shapes and suddenly I am looking at a rising circles. It is a fabulous effect. Thanks for sharing.
