Default Baloo from the Jungle Book done in a New Wave

My BFF provided me 1 yard of lime green flannel with Baloo from the Jungle Book on it and asked me to make her DH a quilt. What to do what to do. I looked at a LOT of patterns trying to come up with something that was going to work. I settled on the pattern 'New Wave', bought a couple of coordinating flannel, and this is the end result. Pieced the back with the scraps. These pics are fresh off the long arm, quilted with giant Jungle leaves. I'm going to bind it with lime green and white polka dot fleece.
The pattern is a freebie from http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransso...ave-quilt.html Thanks for looking!

This is a great quilt. And thanks for the link. I am thinking about using Christmas fabrics for my son and grandkids. Unfortunetly someone broke into their house taking everything and trashing what they didn't want. I am rather slow at quilting. Better start now!

Baloo from the Jungle for BFF's DH? There must be a story behind that. Maybe best that we not hear it, LOL. Seriously, you chose a really good pattern for that fabric, the quilt looks great, and the quilting is wonderful - good design to use.

LOL - I'm sure there is a story there! I don't know what that is tho! Was afraid to ask hahaha. He's in his mid 50's so maybe it was one of his favorite childhood cartoon characters?
