Default Bargello, finally finished

I pieced this Bargello at the end of 2009, I had only been quilting for 6 months (nothing like diving straight in LOL ) but I lost my nerve when it came to quilting it, so it sat in the cupboard since then. It's been a pretty long and cold winter here so I thought it was about time I conquered my fear and gave it a go. I quilted it along the diagonals of each square to give it movement. I am happy with the result and DH talked me into entering in my guild's annual show next month, don't think I have a chance but it will be pretty cool to see it displayed there
Thanks for looking.

Wow! That is stunning & I'm with your DH! This gorgeous quilt needs to be seen!!! Congrats on such a beautiful work of art! Thanks for sharing it with us!

And p. s: I'd be happy to send you some warm weather... at 2 AM here, it's still 75 degrees! I wanted to go out & see if the Northern Lights were as spectacular as they keep saying they would be tonight, but I think I might melt if I went out into this murk!
